29" (74 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, sculpted dark brown short boyish hair in side-parted fashion waved across his forehead, small brown glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, short feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, nicely costumed in blue flannel uniform with brass buttons and decorated with patriotic swag and campaign button for Warren Harding and Teddy Roosevelt. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: BSW (in heart) 2048-6. Comments: Bruno Schmidt, circa 1912. Value Points: fine larger size of the distinctively-modeled boy doll with excellent detail of hair sculpting, original body and body finish, wonderful antique costume.
