18" (46 cm.) Porcelain shoulderhead with lightly-tinted complexion, plump face, painted blue upper glancing eyes, black upper eyeliner, painted lashes, arched feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, all-wooden body with dowel articulation at shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips and knees, and extra swivel articulation at upper arms and legs, lovely antique silk costume. Condition: generally excellent, original body finish with some rubs. Marks: Brevet d'Inv. SGDG Maison Huret Boulevard Montmartre 22 Paris (stamp on kid collarette, and Exposition insignia). Comments: Adelaide Huret, circa 1860, the body is appropriate albeit not original Huret. Value Points: fine quality of porcelain with artistic painting of features, wooden articulated body with Huret insignia.
