Description
21" (53 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve blushed eye shadow, brushstroked brows with feathered details, accented nostrils and eye corners, dimpled chin and philtrum, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig with cork pate, French composition and wooden early body with plump limbs, straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: F. 9 G. (block letters). Comments: Gaultier, circa 1882, early period bebe by that firm. Value Points: especially fine deep modeling with lovely complexion and painting, original body and body finish, antique aqua silk dress, undergarments, bonnets, socks, French leather shoes with brown silk rosettes.
