Description
15" (38 cm.) Bisque socket head, sculpted blonde hair, intaglio blue side-glancing eyes, white eyedots, black upper eyeliner, single-stroke brows, closed mouth with mouth posed for whistling, muslin body containing bellows for whistling when squeezed, composition hands. Condition: generally excellent, whistling mechanism functions sporadically. Marks: Heubach 5 Germany (model number indecipherable). Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1912. Value Points: wonderful costume comprising black velvet uniform with tunic front, medals, and pressed velvet helmet with wooden finial and gilt trim.
