21" (53 cm.) x 15". A light wood box with decorative covers and ormolu trim, hinges open to reveal a beautifully-fitted interior featuring a formal dinner service for six, the dishes of softpaste Sarrequemine and featuring delicately colored scenes of children at play. The service includes not only dinner, soup, dessert and cup and saucers, but also a grand bounty of various serving dishes, and bone-handled cutlery. Excellent condition. French, circa 1885, for the luxury trade, the service is still tied in its original presentation box.
