Description
18" (46 cm.) All-cloth doll with firmly-pressed and oil-painted facial features, brown side-painted hair with forelock curls, shaded blue/green eyes, black and brown upper eyeliner, closed mouth, double chin, stitch-jointing at shoulders, disc-jointing at hips. Condition: generally excellent, light cheek rubs. Marks: Kathe Kruse (and illegible number, left foot) . Comments: Kathe Kruse, Type VIII, circa 1940, known as "Eierkopf", in reference to oversized egg-shaped head. Value Points: rare model with uniquely-shaped head, wearing wonderful costume of red suede lederhosen, plaid shirt, red knit socks, unusual shoes.
