16" (41 cm.) All-cloth doll with pressed and painted facial features, large blue side-glancing eyes with white eyedots, rosy cheeks, closed mouth, blonde mohair wig, muslin stitch-jointed arms and legs. She is wearing blue cotton dress with tiny white floral print, organdy pockets with ruffled edges matching the sleeve edges and the brim of her blue flowered bonnet, cotton slip, pantalets, socks, black front-snap shoes. The dress is tagged "Little Em'ly/Madame Alexander/New York". Near mint condition, nose a little smudged. Madame Alexander, 1934, the doll depicts Little Em'ly from Charles Dickens novel of David Copperfield, wears vibrant original costume, and has original octagon gilt paper wrist tag.
