Description
24" (61 cm.) h. x 26". Oil painting on canvas in impressionistic manner depicts two young girls with a doll, one girl seated backward on floor, her face not visible, with long flowing curls and clothes, gazing up at the older girl seated on a chair, nearby a table with pitcher and bowl, holding her doll and appearing as though she is feeding the doll. The painting is signed B. Sterner. Late 1800s. Excellent condition, re-mounted on backing, with wooden gilt-finished frame.
