Description
5 1/2" (14 cm.) Solid domed bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque torso, cobalt blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes and brows, closed mouth with pert smile, blonde mohair wig, peg-jointing at shoulders and hips, bare feet, wearing antique silk dress and woven hat. Condition: generally excellent, tiny flake at top rim of front torso. Comments: French, circa 1882, the mignonettes were presented as "poupees de poche" (pocket dolls) in reference to their tiny doll size. Value Points: beautiful little doll with choice bisque and most endearing expression.
