Description
12" (30 cm.) Paper mache head with bald solid pate, very large painted googly eyes, arched brows, closed mouth, tiny pointed nose, firmly-stuffed body with black and green felt cover suggesting costume and boots, and with red felt jacket with braid trim, collar, woolen plaid tam. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Brownie, inspired by original illustrations of Palmer Cox, circa 1895. Value Points: all-original novelty doll including costume, unique expression.
