Including 5"x 5" portrait painting depicting a young lad leaning forward, his chin resting upon his hand and a far-away gaze in his eye, with ink script documentation on the reverse indicated Conrad Kirzel 1824 (very good, with some fading at edges); and 4 1/2" circular painting of distinguished gentleman, in semi-profile with strong nose, lace cravat and stand-up collar, balding pate and side-burns, with (illegible) ink script name on reverse and date of his life 1769-1841 (excellent condition). Germany, early 1800s.
