17" (43 cm.) Carved wooden head and torso with very elongated slender throat and waist, heart-shaped face with carved wooden yellow tuck comb at crown, black painted hair waved behind carved ears and with well-defined ringlet curls at the sides of her face, painted creamy complexion and facial features, elongated torso and limbs, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, shapely ankles. Condition: generally excellent, original finish with very minor typical aging. Comments: Grodnertal, circa 1830. Value Points: well-preserved early doll with wonderful ringlet curls, included is early black woolen dress original to the doll.
