11" (28 cm.) All-composition with socket head, sleep eyes, real lashes, dark eye shadow, closed mouth, rosy cheeks, blonde mohair wig with original waist-length wig, jointing at shoulders and hips. She is wearing original peach satin gown having inset panels decorated with flocked polka dots, stiff pink muslin petticoat and panties, socks, gold side-snap shoes and with gold brocade crown and pearl necklace with gilt brooch. The costume has original tag "Fairy Princess/Madame Alexander NY,USA/All Rights Reserved". Near mint condition. Madame Alexander, 1942, the doll was shown in the rare 1942 catalog issued by that firm; the doll has original store label from Lazarus department store and price of $3.98, and original box stamped "Fairy Princess" and inventory number "1100".
