16" (41 cm.) Honey-toned poured wax shoulderhead of adult woman with black bead eyes, slender face, elongated throat, modeled bosom, on padded and cloth wrapped armature form with attached cast metal stand, wax hands, brunette mohair wig. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1915, from an exhibition of dolls created and presented to illustrate the splendor and artistry of French couture. Value Points: the doll is wearing original attached high-waisted silk patterned gown with velvet collar, paisley shawl, elaborately-constructed silk bonnet. With original ink-script paper tag "Epoque [?] 1794".
