22" (56 cm.) Felt swivel head with pressed and painted facial features, brown side-glancing eyes, grey eye shadow, painted curly upper lashes, rounded nose, closed mouth with accented lower lip, short bobbed mohair wig with forehead curl, jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent, one small moth hole on button. Marks: Lenci (feet). Comments: Italian, Lenci, their 500 model, this example identified as G/10 from 1931; this actual doll is shown in a full page photograph in Lenci, The History and the Dolls, by Nancy Lazenby, page 69. Value Points: beautifully preserved doll with vibrantly colored costume including elaborately-pieced plaid felt coat, red and cream dress, red shoes and cloche, undergarment.
