Description
11" (28 cm.) All composition with socket head, reddish brown bobbed hair, brown sleep eyes, rosebud-shaped closed mouth, five-piece composition body. Condition: head excellent, body has original finish albeit very flaked. Marks: Effanbee Patsy Doll. Comments: Effanbee, circa 1935, the doll is preserved in her original box along with a booklet of "Dora-Bell" doll dresses with instructions; the set was presented with pre-cut fabric and designs for Patsy style dresses; included is a reprint of an article appearing in Good Housekeeping of December 1938 describing this set. Value Points: very rare presentation. Ex-collection of Don and Arlene Jensen.
