13" (33 cm.) Bisque socket head, very deep blue glass paperweight inset eyes, painted lashes, brushstroked brows with feathered detail, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with very full outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, Steiner composition fully-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent, tiny rub on upper brows, body may not be original but is of the same era and appropriate style and size. Marks: 5/0. Comments: French, circa 1882, the maker is uncertain but bears compelling resemblance to bebes of Andre Thuillier. Value Points: especially beautiful petite bebe with splendid eyes, lovely antique silk costume and bonnet, undergarments, stockings, aqua silk dress.
