9" (23 cm.) The wooden-framed lady's desk with slanted drop front has cabriole-shaped bronze legs, metal lattice edging at the top, and is richly decorated with printed embossed sides and front having lavish garlands surrounding Grecian-themed scenes of women and Cupids. The interior is silk lined (lacking one shelf). Marked Modele Depose Brevete SGDG in gilt on underside. Excellent condition. French, circa 1880.
