8 1/2" (22 cm.) Bisque socket head with rounded facial shape, dark blue glass sleep eyes which operate from a lever at the back of head, painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accented center line, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition fully-jointed body with straight wrists, pretty antique costume, bonnet, original muslin chemise, undergarments, little leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Sie C 4/0 (incised) Steiner Bte SGDG Bourgoin (red ink signature). Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1884. Value Points: wonderful tiny Steiner bebe with original Steiner eyes, original body, and most endearing presence.
