12" (30 cm.) Bisque socket head with light brown complexion, brown glass inset eyes, brushstroked feathered brows with feathered highlights, painted lashes, accented nostrils, closed mouth with coral shaded lips, black fleecy mohair wig, early brown-complexioned composition and wooden body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 7. Comments: Kestner, the model closely resembles the French bebe marked A.T., and is known as the "A.T. Kestner", circa 1885. Value Points: rare facial model by Kestner, especially with brown complexion which is flawlessly preserved, original wig, original body with superb original condition, and wearing antique muslin chemise dress, beaded cap, undergarments, red leather shoes and socks.
