Description
12" (30 cm.) Pink-tinted poured wax shoulderhead, blue glass enamel inset eyes, tinted brows and nostrils, closed mouth, blonde inserted hair, softly-stuffed muslin body, wax lower arms and legs, bare feet. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Hamley's Regent Street... (original label on torso). Comments: English, attributed to Montanari, the doll was presented at the London toy store of Hamley's, circa 1865. Value Points: rare petite size, beautiful complexion, wearing original dress, bonnet, undergarments, woven slippers.
