20" (51 cm.) Bisque socket head, very plump lower cheeks, large wide blue paperweight eyes with spiral threading and darker iris rims, dark eyeliner, mauve blushed eye shadow, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with shaded and outlined lips, impressed dimples at philtrum and chin, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent, original body and body finish with slight scuffing on fingers. Marks: 3 (head). Comments: Emile Jumeau, his earliest period luxury bebe known as portrait model, circa 1878. Value Points: gorgeous doll with finest bisque, complexion and painting, splendid eyes, lovely lace and silk dress, ruffled bonnet, undergarments, kidskin shoes with gilt lettering "Bebe Jumeau".
