10" (25 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead with light brown sculpted hair in loose braid framing the face and capturing the chignon at her nape, painted facial features, blue eyes, strong nose, closed mouth, original muslin body, bisque lower arms and legs, painted black boots. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1870. Value Points: rare coiffure, original body and fine antique costume and undergarments; along with a pedestal based walnut frame with needlework screen.
