Description
15" (38 cm.) w. x 15"h. x 18"d (when open). An elaborately-fitted perfume and toiletry Paris boutique is presented when the hinged box opens and unfolds, of lithographed paper over wood, and with hinged store sign "Parfumerie Regence". The back wall features a curved front counter with gilt paper edging which centers shelves and a mirror, and there is a matching free-standing two drawer counter with faux-marble top. Inside the store are chairs, birdcage, trunk, gilt ormolu mirrors on the walls, and an extravagant bounty of of goods, overseen by a bisque dollhouse lady with fine original costume. Excellent condition. French, circa 1890, an outstanding miniature shop in wonderfully-preserved condition.
