4.5" (11 cm.) The matched porcelain vignettes each depict an 18th century courting couple with wonderfully sculpted and painted costumes; in one a periwigged gentleman kisses the hand of lady seated in chair with little dog in her lap, and in the other the periwigged gentleman kneels, holding his Marquis hat in hand and whispers to the bonneted lady sitting alongside. Marks: (blue bishop's staff stamp). Excellent condition. Germany, circa 1900, Dressel & Kister.
