12" (30 cm.) Paper mache shoulderhead with black sculpted hair arranged with thick braid at her crown and wrapped pageboy curls at her nape, painted large blue eyes, closed mouth, single stroke-brows, slender kid body with wooden lower arms and legs, paper bands at junction of kid and body, painted flat shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1850. Value Points: rare coiffure, original finish, original body and wearing original costume.
