48" (122 cm.) x 30"w. The wooden framed theatre is covered with outstanding lithographed illustrations of Paris theatre scenes as well as street and festival scenes of Paris in the late 1800s, including famous theatrical characters such as Polichinelle and Pierrot. The sides hinge open in various stages to allow dimensional background effect. Very good/excellent, with slight paper wear at edges. French, circa 1890, an outstanding grand-size of the popular children's theatre, original shown at the Paris toy store of Au Nain Bleu.
