Description
17" (43 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, brown painted hair, blue glass sleep eyes with heavily-modeled eyelids, painted lashes, brush-stroked brows, closed mouth with defined space between the shaded lips, composition and wooden ball-jointed toddler body with side-hip jointing, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: D.V. 6 (incised) S&Co Geschutz (green stamp). Comments: Swaine and Co, circa 1915. Value Points: especially fine sculpting with fine definition around the eyes, choice bisque and painting, original toddler body and body finish.
