Description
5" (13 cm.) Each has one-piece bisque head and torso, brown glass eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, closed mouth, original mohair wig, loop-jointed bisque arms and legs, modeled bent elbows with pointing finger on right hand, painted white stockings to above the knees, black one-strap shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: JIO c. 1920 (incised). Comments: the unique trio of character dolls, each with distinctive facial expression, designed by the American artist, circa 1920, made in Germany. Value Points: wonderful dolls, rare to find as a complete set, are wearing their factory original costumes.
