14" (36 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head with very-lightly-tinted complexion and blushed cheeks, cobalt blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted fringe lashes, delicately-feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, unpierced ears, blonde lambswool wig over cork pate, firmly-stuffed kid body with gusset-jointing at hips, wooden ball-jointing at knees, dowel-jointing at shoulders of upper kid-over-wooden arms, porcelain arms from above the elbows, curled fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, attributed to Blampoix, circa 1860. Value Points: with fine quality of porcelain and painting, original wig, original body with luxury details, and wearing original brown taffeta ensemble comprising cape, jacket and skirt, matching woven hat, blouse, undergarments, leather heeled shoes signed C.C.
