15" (38 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head with chubby facial features, brushstroked blonde painted hair in short boyish fashion, small blue painted eyes, dark eyeliner, short feathered brows, accented nostrils of rounded nose, closed mouth modeled as though open with shaded lips and two upper beaded teeth, composition and wooden ball-jointed toddler body with side-hip jointing, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 110 5. Comments: Adolf Wislizenus, circa 1910 from his art character series, the model was also made with glass eyes and wig (see #93 of this book). Value Points: finest quality of bisque and sculpting with great attention to chubby cheek wrinkles and double chin, wonderful antique costume.
