28" (71 cm.) Paper mache shoulderhead with oval face, double chin, and strong throat, black sculpted hair with deep comb marks looped around the sides of the forehead and over her fully-sculpted ears, forming into eight long ringlet curls that tumble low on her shoulders, black enamel eyes, heavy eyelids, painted all-around lashes, feathered brows, slightly-parted lips with two square cut teeth on top and two below, all-cloth body with kid arms, the body is attached to the head in a unique manner having 48 small sew holes attached to a strip of linen, wearing original (frail) early dress with transfer designs, undergarments, leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent, some body patching. Comments: Germany, circa 1840. Value Points: outstanding sculpting with wonderfully-detailed facial shape, combmarked hair, smiling expression, open mouth with teeth, original pale complexion.
