13" (33 cm.) Standing upon a wooden platform is a peddler lady with carved head, ebony complexion, black bead eyes, wooden torso and legs, and wearing original brown linen dress, red woolen cape, and black sunbonnet. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: English, mid-1800s. Value Points: presented under a glass dome, the peddler lady is carrying a large woven basket tray which is laden with a multitude of sewing notions, novelties, bric-a-brac and ephemera, including a little book labeled "For a Good Child", and dated 1883.
