15" (38 cm.) Bisque socket head with very plump cheeks, blue glass spiral-threaded eyes, very dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve-blushed eyeshadow, brushstroked brows, shaded nostrils, closed mouth, center accent line, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists and flat-cut derriere. Condition: bisque excellent, body is original and with original finish albeit quite rubbed. Marks: Sch (in shield) 2. Comments: Schmitt et Fils, circa 1880. Value Points: beautiful shy-faced bebe with especially fine painting around the eyes, pretty antique costume.
