Bisque socket head with gleaming cafe-au-lait complexion, brown glass paperweight inset eyes, painted lashes, smoky eyeshadow, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, pierced ears, blonde mohair fleecy wig over Steiner pate, French brown composition fully-jointed body, pretty silk costume and bonnet, leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: J. Steiner Bte SGDG Paris Fre A 13 (head) (original Steiner paper label of doll with flag). Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1890. Value Points: superb bisque with flawless golden brown complexion, original body and body finish, rare petite size.
