Bisque socket head, small brown glass sleep eyes, painted curly lashes, short feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, impressed cheek dimples, brunette mohair braided wig over plaster pate, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 189 (head) Excelsior Germany (body). Comments: Kestner, circa 1912. Value Points: especially fine modeling of impish facial expression enhanced by eye crinkles and cheek dimples, original body and body finish, antique schoolgirl costume, woven bonnet, reticule, undergarments, shoes and socks.
