9" (23 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep and side-glancing googly eyes, painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with dainty impish smile, impressed dimples at lip corners, brunette mohair bobbed wig, composition toddler body with jointing at shoulders and hips, starfish-shaped hands. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K*R Simon & Halbig. Germany 131-23. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, circa 1915. Value Points: the dear character is a sublime blend of shyness and mischief, and has finest bisque, body, body finish, wig, and wonderful antique costume and shoes.
