Description
5 1/2" (14 cm.) With wooden base covered with black leather and brown kidskin straps accented with brass studs, and with striped canvas upper section with brass frame and braid handle. Condition: good/very good, one handle missing, canvas age-darkened. Comments: French, the sac du voyage (commonly referred to as "carpet-bag" in America during its era) was a popular travel case during the mid-1800s, allowing closed storage below, and easy access above. Value Points: rare accessory for French dolls.
