Description
10" (25 cm.) Bisque socket head, large blue glass spiral threaded eyes, painted lashes, wide feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accent line between the lips, auburn mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with flat-cut derriere and straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Sch 3 (in shield, at back of head) Sch (in shield on bottom of derriere). Comments: Schmitt et Fils, circa 1880. Value Points: very rare and charming tiny size of the gentle-faced bebe, with lovely complexion, luminous eyes, original body and body finish, costume and shoes included.
