18" (46 cm.) x 17" box 4"h. piano. A paper-covered wooden box with lithographed label on lid "Ameublement" (furnishings) contains within its paper lace edged interior a complete parlor room setting with unusual faux-marble finish, comprising upright piano, fireplace with mirrored mantel arranged with painted wooden base and candlesticks, fernery with silk flowers, settee, four chairs, oval table, piano stool; the upholstered pieces with rose silk covers. Excellent condition, unplayed with, the furnishings still tied to original box. For the French market, circa 1890.
