Description
16" (41 cm.) l. 15"h. Standing upon a wooden platform with four metal spoked wheels and hidden bellows mechanism is a bisque head doll with blue glass eyes, open mouth, blonde mohair wig, wooden block torso and arms, along with three paper mache fleecy lambs and a flannel-covered paper mache donkey with nodding style head. When pulled along, the doll turns her head side to side and waves the decorated stick she is holding, while the donkey's head nods up and down. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1890. Value Points: superb state of preservation of the delightful toy, with ribbon-decorated animals, the little girl wearing her original costume.
