Description
24" (61 cm.) Thick paste porcelain shoulderhead with slightly pink-tinted complexion and very deeply-sculpted features, brown sculpted side-parted hair in short boyish fashion, comb marked detail, sculpted ears, blue painted eyes in deeply-set sockets, red upper eyeliner, single-stroke brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with accent line between the lips, slightly smiling expression, well-defined chin, muslin stitch-jointed body, antique gentleman's suit. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: KPM (blue stamp). Comments: KPM, circa 1850. Value Points: the rare model has outstanding modeling enhanced by wonderfully painted features.
