Description
7" (18 cm.) h. including pillow. Having stitch-shaped felt flannel face with black shoe button eyes, defined nose and mouth, stitched-on ears, felt flannel legs, and a lush creamy mohair body with long curled tail, the spitz dog is posed seated upon its original red velvet cushion. Excellent condition, slight dustiness of face, some fading of velvet. Germany, Steiff, from a very rare early series of miniature animals posed on cushions, circa 1915.
