Description
16" (41 cm.) All-cloth doll with firmly-pressed and oil-painted facial features and blonde short hair with impasto-detailing and soft curls around the forehead, painted dark blue eyes with shaded color, red and black upper eyeliner, painted lashes, closed mouth, accented nostrils and eye corners, sateen torso cover, oil-painted limbs with stitch-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (original paper label on back torso). Comments: Martha Chase, circa 1910. Value Points: beautifully-preserved doll with most artistic painting, antique costume is likely original.
