17" (43 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, arched feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accented lips, ears pierced into head, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, kid-stretched-over-wood body with dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, bisque lower arms and hands, antique costume and leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent, small chip at back upper shoulderplate, right wooden toes broken. Comments: French, circa 1865. Value Points: beautiful face with gentle expression and flawless complexion, rare body style, perfect bisque hands with well-defined fingers.
