Bisque socket head, amber brown glass paperweight inset eyes with spiral threading, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve-blushed eye shadow, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with shaded and outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent, original body and body finish. Marks: H (and illegible size number, possibly 0). Comments: Aristide Halopeau, Paris, considered one of the three most important French firms in the presentation of bebes, each with a compelling presence. Value Points: most sought after doll, with splendid eyes, original body in very fine original condition, lovely antique costume including signed Paris leather shoes by Alart.
