6" (15 cm.) Each has bisque shoulderhead, closed mouth, muslin body, bisque lower arms and legs, painted shoes and socks, including woman with glass eyes, blonde mohair up-swept wig with ringlet curls, wearing a superb antique gown and carrying basket; and gentleman with black sculpted hair in 1830s style , painted brown eyes, and wearing brown and tan suit of the era with tiny boutonniere and top hat. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1890, the woman by Simon and Halbig. Value Points: especially charming pair, the gentleman with rare hair style, and she with superb wig and gown.
