Description
5" (13 cm.) Solid domed bisque swivel head on bisque torso, large cobalt blue enamel eyes, painted lashes, single-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with richly-painted lips, blonde mohair wig with long mohair braids, peg-jointed bisque arms and legs, painted white stockings and blue two-strap heeled shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1882, the petite mignonettes were presented as "poupees de poche" (pocket dolls). Value Points: especially pretty mignonette has beautiful painting, original wig, costume, and is carrying a little all-bisque miniature with sculpted ruffled-edge bonnet.
