15" (38 cm.) The paper mache shaped poodle with flannel cover has kid-over-paper mache hinged legs and elongated muzzle, amber glass eyes, black painted nose, fluffy white curly modeled tail, mane and chest. When wound, the poodle walks forward. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1900, Roullet et Decamps, from their series of mechanical elephants which ranged from elephants to piglets. Value Points: rare variation of mechanical animal with delightful action.
