Description
26" (66 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, muslin stitch-jointed body, kid arms. Condition: generally excellent, body is not original. Marks: 9 (head and shoulders) F.G. (shoulderplate). Comments: Gaultier, circa 1875. Value Points: large poupee whose eyes beautifully contrast her pale bisque, lovely antique costume.
